Go ahead and be angry. You do well to be angry—but don’t use your anger as fuel for revenge. And don’t stay angry. Don’t go to bed angry. Don’t give the Devil that kind of foothold in your life.

-Ephesians 4:26-27 (MSG)

Today I’ve made peace with those who pissed me off. No, it was not a “I forgive them in my heart” kinda thing. It was a deliberate extending of a hand, to leave our petty differences behind and to journey forward, freed from the shackles of pride and vengefulness. This “Living the Word” kind of business is no easy feat. But it’s definitely necessary. If we’re to live in the image of who He created us to be.

Liberating indeed.
