Why do we pray?

Why is so important that we learn to pray?

Because Hell is real. And it’s all around us.

What do we need learn to pray?

Because the systems around us will trample us if you don’t know how to stand.

Why do you need to learn to pray?

Because there are influences that would overwhelm you and shape your way of thinking if you don’t know how to anchor yourself in a clearer and larger vision of greatness.

Why do you need to learn to pray?

Because the very desire that are inside your own body that will deceive you and drag you to places where you never intended to be.

Why do you need to learn to pray?

Because at the heart of it, our hearts too easily confuse and deceive us.

– Tim Goh

We ask for grace today, Abba Father.

If we don’t think there is something wrong with our world today, either we’re so caught up within a safety bubble which we had nicely built for ourselves or our minds had truly been incepted and led to believe that the dehumanizing ways that the world chases money, sex and power are worthy pursuits.

Instead of asking for little trinkets that we don’t need, could we learn, like the Psalmist, to lift our eyes and hands to the heavens, asking our Father to awaken the dawn?
